Why do I need to take “Peak Performance Buoyancy” ?

  • Buoyancy control is essential to becoming a confident, relaxed diver. Being perfectly balanced allows you to float effortlessly, use air more efficiently and deftly approach skittish marine life to get a closer look. This specialty will help you to master your buoyancy so you will dive with greater control, your air will last longer and you will save energy

How Can I  Improve  Buoyancy While Scuba Diving?

  • Breathing: Inhale to expand your lungs and create positive buoyancy, and exhale to sink. Controlled breathing is key to maintaining neutral buoyancy.
  • Relax: Relaxation is essential for mastering buoyancy control.
  • Weight: Use the right amount of weight to compensate for your equipment and keep you buoyant. Too much weight will make it hard to ascend, and too little will cause you to float uncontrollably.
  • Buoyancy control device (BCD): Use your BCD to make fine adjustments to your buoyancy.
  • Balance equipment: Secure all dangling equipment to prevent drag, and distribute your weights so you can swim without tilting.
  • Body positioning: Improve your body positioning.
  • Practice: Practice to improve your buoyancy.
  • Dive more: Dive more frequently to become more comfortable underwater and improve your air consumption.
